Stainless Steel Crown Procedure

The stainless steel crown placement procedure is a relatively simple one that we can do in a single visit. First, Dr. Alfred Burns, Dr. Anas Hakimeh, Dr. Dorothy Causey, Dr. Hennah Shamji, or Dr. Israel Saintil Theurer will prepare the tooth by reducing the size of the natural crown and shaping the remaining tooth structure. Next, the stainless steel crown will be fitted over the prepared tooth and lightly cemented into place. Once the crown is in place, the dentist will check the fit and bite to ensure that the crown is seated correctly and that the bite is comfortable. Finally, the dentist will use a light-curing material to attach the crown to the tooth permanently. The entire procedure is relatively quick, and your child should be able to leave the dental office with a permanent restoration.
